Lufa Farms
Urban commercial greenhouse
Climate diagnosis
Leafy greens cultivation
Montreal
The context
One of Lufa Farms' greenhouses was experiencing a non-uniform and overly dry climate for a large part of the year. These conditions were responsible for significant plant loss and a decline in production quality.
The challenge
Understanding the synergy between the existing equipment and the greenhouse's operating processes in order to identify potential solutions.
Our solution
Bloom Climat intervened as an independent expert in three stages.
First, an analysis of the greenhouse's historical data and equipment distribution across the space to map the interactions between existing systems. Then, the deployment of a series of temporary sensors to precisely measure climate uniformity throughout the space. Finally, a comprehensive synthesis combining both sources of information to establish an accurate picture of the situation.
The results
A complete analysis report identifying the probable causes of climate instability, a detailed portrait of the current situation, and a set of concrete, prioritised solution pathways.
